The following list of releases for the Xbox 360 has been put together using sources from VGReleases.com.
Dragon Age II
Bioware’s follow-up to Dragon Age: Origins. In Origins, the player was a Grey Warden who saved a nation from destruction. In Dragon Age II, the player becomes the Champion whose exploits will determine the fate of the world. The game features more action-oriented game-play and greater character customization.
Major League Baseball 2K11
The latest MLB 2K11 refines the mechanics of baseball further with greater control over fielding, hitting, and pitching. The character models for the MLB players are inching closer to life-like accuracy, and the game offers a mode where the player guides the career of a MLB rookie.
Runic Game’s Torchlight was once available only on the PC and through Steam but will soon begin another life through Xbox Live Arcade. Torchlight is a dungeon crawler in the same vein as Diablo II in that it features randomly-attributed items, ever-changing maps, and action that has players mowing down hordes of creatures.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Players assume the role of Adam Jensen, a private security specialist who finds himself in a position to decide the next step in human evolution. Will humanity become augmented by technology, controlled by a secret organization, or is there another way?
- [Correction: according to “Deus Ex: Human Revolution Gets Augmented With Fancy Extras (And a Release Date)” by Michael McWhertor of Kotaku.com, Deus Ex: Human Revolution will not be available in the United States until August.]
For players who cannot wait until Tuesday morning to pick up these titles, there are two stores near Atlantic City that will be opening their doors at midnight. The Game Stop on Bethel Road in Somers Point is holding a special midnight event for Dragon Age II and MLB 2K11, and the Wal-Mart on Landis Avenue in Vineland is open 24 hours. Unfortunately, both stores are about an hour away from Atlantic City. If the hour is too late or the distance not worth the trouble, there are plenty of area stores that will have the latest Xbox 360 releases when they open shop on Tuesday.
There are two Game Stops around the Hamilton Mall in Egg Harbor Township, one in Consumer Square and the other inside the mall on the second floor. Also in the area are a Wal-Mart along the Black Horse Pike and the Best Buy in Consumer Square. The best bet and shortest distance is the Game Stop of Atlantic City on Atlantic Avenue. All of the listed games should be available in those stores except Torchlight which is available only through Xbox Live. Torchlight will be available for download just after midnight.
