The death of Lazarus, was a troubling and sad experience for Christ Jesus himself. This is the only instance in the Bible, which Jesus cried, other then when he is on calvary. People ask, why God allow this to happen, why God allow bad things to occur? It is not that he seeks pleasure in seeing us suffer but because of his glorification and manifestation that he allow such things, as we see as bad to happen. The death of Lazarus hurt Jesus so bad that he called on his father in tears, in order for him to rise Lazarus from the dead four days after being dead and rotting. Jesus in hearing about Lazurus death, he left to be with Mary and Martha, to be with them, to bring them relief while they were in pain. In seeing their suffering he was moved and cried and groaned, just as they did, to his father in Heaven.
God takes a situation, that’s seems bad and awful in all our lives and turn it into good. He picks us all up, from lower grounds, especially when we feel most down and out, at our lowest points and put us on higher grounds. He has always done this throughout history. He did this in the Old Testament for Job and then turned around showed his glory, in raising Lazurus from the dead.
Jeremiah 7 says, Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see. When heat cometh but her leaf shall be green and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease yielding of fruit.
The prophet Jeremiah is explaining, that no matter what is happening in our lives, let us trust in the Lord, just as Martha, Mary, and the Jews, who were with them, teusted in the Lord, that he could bring their brother Lazurus back to life.
We all God’s children and he don’t like to see none of us suffer. It’s is because of sin, that we suffer here on earth, in this world, which is not home. Christ Jesus is the resurrection and if we abide in him, we shall suffer no more but have everlasting life.
Jesus showed us through many examples, while he was here on earth, that we two have the ability to call on God, just as he did, in him calling on his father in Heaven to raise Lazarus from the dead. We think too humanily, forgetting to implement our fate of the muster seed, not remembering, only if we believe we could move mountains. Give your life to God, cry on him and he will answer and give you rest.
