Spring has finally sprung. We are all faced with the problem of dressing for spring as though we were prepared for it. This week as you tear through closets and drawers to create the perfect spring outfit you will come across things that never should have been purchased, were never right for you, never fit properly, and would perhaps be better suited for someone else. When this happens, and it will, stay calm and resist the temptation to start a clothing bonfire. Fold or hang these, clean, seasonally appropriate, undamamaged, barely worn clothes and go to Revival to sell them. It’s possible that the skirt that was too short, the top that was too tight, or the yellow tee that was too yellow could be cash in your pocket rather than a painful reminder hanging in the back of your closet.
Revival is an exchange/consignment store in the heart of downtown Iowa City that specializes in stylish, modern clothing and accessories for women. Revival is always looking for items that are current in style and season. The staff makes decisions based on style, condition, brand, season, and inventory analysis. All pricing is at the discretion of the owner and employees of Revival. Before you head to Revival with your bag of goodies to consign/exchange make sure what you are taking isn’t dirty, stinking, or damaged. It may have been expensive but if it’s dirty or damaged leave it at home.
Revival offers the following options for you when you bring in your clothes:
Cash Upfront- 30% of the retail selling price: This is the option of having cash for your goods right there on the spot instead of having to wait for your items to sell. You will be given 30% of the price Revival plans to sell the items for.
Store Trade- 55% of the retail selling price: This is the store credit option. Revival will give you 55% of the price they plan to sell your items for, in store credit. The credit is given on the spot and is good for one year.
Consignment- 50% of the retail selling price: 50% of the price Revival sells the item for when it sells. Revival keeps detailed records of the goods left on consignment, the markdowns, and when and how much the items sell for. Consigners can check the balance of their account and get paid out for the items that have sold.
The staff at Revival is incredibly patient, amazingly cool, and very knowledgeable. Revival is so much more than a consignment store. You can contact Revival the following ways:
