Have you ever wondered what the best diet is for your puppy? Store bought, dry kibbles, specially delivered, soft from a can, home made or even frozen raw food, the options are almost endless. Surely there’s a way to make head or puppy tails of it all, right? Well clear your calendar, for a mere $15 those questions will be answered by canine nutrition expert Dr. Adam Piaseczny.
SF Puppy Prep and SF Healthy Pets Veterinary Hospital, two excellent resources right here in San Francisco, are teaming up to present a seminar called “Raising A Healthy Puppy: Puppy Nutrition and Wellness”. Dr. Piaseczny is the owner of SF Healthy Pets Veterinary Hospital, located in the West Portal neighborhood and offering a wealth of traditional medical as well as complimentary therapies. He will be presenting from 7-8:30p.m. on Thursday March 24, 2011 at SF Puppy Prep. Located at 251 Sixth St. in San Francisco, SF Puppy Prep caters to puppies and their people, ensuring they get the best possible start in our urban environment. They offers educational seminars, daycare, socials, dog walking and many training options including group classes and private sessions.
Dr. Piaseczny will discuss critical topics such as the relationship between diet and behavior, how to prevent allergies, what supplements are appropriate for growing puppies, the benefits of a raw food diet and much more. It’s understood that good nutrition is critical for healthy development, both physically and mentally, for canines as well as their human counterparts. Puppies that don’t thrive on their diets or that suffer from chronic allergies have a harder time focusing on obedience, learning good manners or even playing like the carefree pups they should be. It’s also easy to understand why puppies with ongoing digestive upset have a much harder time with house training.
