The cathedral ruins in St. Andrew, Scotland. Photo taken by Kansas City local Sarah Johnson.
The cathedral in St. Andrews is located along the cliffs. Much of the structure has been ruined due to wind, fire, and the Reformation. What remains is an impressive wall looking back toward the town, a tower accessible to visitors, and several precinct walls. Visitors can explore the cloisters and the graves unearthed under the chapter house, as well as the gravesites that have taken over the grounds.
