WoW Texas is back in action this coming Friday night, with their presentation of “Spring Slampede” at the Cypress VFW (located on the Northwest Freeway at 21902 Highway 290).
Scot Summers looks to continue his dictatorship over WoW, as he acquired the services of “One Man” Mike Dell and Ryan Genesis at the February show. Summers threw his weight around, making matches and wreaking general havoc throughout WoW. A few matches have already been signed, so here is what has been released thus far.
There will be a Five Guys Burger Battle as the special pre-show match. Last month was the first one that was held and the fans loved it, so it was announced that it will be returning for this month’s event. So far, Bolt Brady, “Primetime” Ricky Douglas, and Mike Fyre have been listed as participants for the match. No word yet on who will fill the other two spots.
For the “Spring Slampede” card, the highly popular team of Impeccable (Ken Carson & Joey “Diamond” Figueroa) return to Cypress to defend the WoW Texas Tag Team Titles. The duo (managed by Barbi Hayden) recaptured the NWA Texas Tag Titles last month by defeating The Gulf Coast Connection, but now have a new challenge. The Psycho Circus has stepped up and demanded a shot at the gold, and will be represented by “One Man” Mike Dell and David Stahr. The fans will no doubt be behind Impeccable, as they don’t want to see the Circus start putting the gold in their possession along with the power that Scot Summers currently holds.
Speaking of Barbi Hayden, she’ll be defending her WoW Women’s Title, as she faces Simply Luscious and Jen-Alise in a Three Way Dance. Barbi was on the receiving end of a vicious beating by her challengers last month, so this could end up being more of a handicap match to ensure that the champion doesn’t walk out with the title.
The WoW Outlaw Title is on the line, as “Benchmark” Silky Baines put the gold up against Hambone. The challenger was part of Chaz Taylor’s crew that stepped up against the Psycho Circus a month ago, but was given the night off and forced to sell merchandise by Scot Summers. Hambone will look to start picking apart the Circus at “Spring Slampede.”
Also, making his long-awaited return to Cypress will be none other than “Ruthless” Ryan Davidson! He makes his return to WoW after a lengthy absence, so who knows what will happen now that he has apparently returned to the WoW scene.
Also appearing will be the WoW Heavyweight Champion “Mr. Showtime” Scot Summers, new WoW Cruiserweight Champion Ryan Genesis, Chaz Taylor, Jaykus Plisken, “Backdraft” Chris Lee, DJ King returns to action, as well as Shawn Houston and many more.
More info about “Spring Slampede” will be posted on the WoW website and the WoW Facebook page between now and Friday. Tickets for the event are $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 12 years of age. The preshow begins at 7:30pm, with showtime starting at 8pm. Come out and bring the family for a great night of live pro wrestling action!
