I may love expensive things, but not everything I adore costs a ton of cash. In fact, one company that continually impresses me is MARK, both for their eye-catching, I-can’t-believe-the-affordable-price, accessories, and their super-affordable, trendy makeup.
A few weeks ago on the Advice Sisters Blog, I reviewed some of MARKs’ latest and greatest accessories, some of which are literally, less than a latte. But today, I’m writing about a face-in-a-case kit so awesome, I can hardly wait to describe it to you!
The kit I’m coveting is the MARK It Kit Trend Color Compact. It’s just $20.00 (plus shipping and handling), but it has 3 lip colors, 3 multi-use cream shades, 3 eyeshadows, and a bronzer, all packed nicely into a shiny, square, black, mirrored compact. It’s got everything you want and need to make a new look for spring — and it does it all in one place (so it’s great for travel).
What’s unusual about this kit, is the compact design. A regular compact usually has a static base, into which products are nestled. If it is a bi-level kit, you generally access the lowerl level by lifting up the top. But this kit has a “flip” design so you can easily access the products you choose to use the most. You can chosoe the powder shadows and bronzer for your top layer, or “flip it” to the bottom level of the compact, and showcase the six creamy shades of lipstick and multi-purpose colors on the top instead. The kit has a chart on the back of the compact with the name and function of every product. That’s a nice touch, too.
So what’s in the IT Kit?
One side of the It Kit has three shadows: 1) white hot (really a shimmery off white) (2) violet femme (a sheer, matte , mauve) (3) vampette (a matte, intense, milk chocolate brown) and a powder Bronzer: (4) bronzini (the color is warmed with a hint of mauve, and it’s shimmery, sheer and layer-able. You can use it as a blush, too). *the colors are warmer and less purple than you see in the photo.
TheOther Side of the IT Kit houses three, shimmery, earthy, color creams that you can use multi-purpose on combination eyes, lips and cheeks. They are not heavy on the pigment, so you can layer them or add other products if you wish: (5) mauving on (a beige-y nude with a hint of mauve) (6) goldirocks (sheer, shimmery gold) and (7) cocoa rush (bronze-y beige). There are also three Lip glosses with the unexpected, very sweet taste of sugar (personally, I could have done without the flavoring) : (8) retro (shiny sheer coral), (9) lotus pop (shiny, sheer cool deep mauve) and (10) pretty delish (shimmery sheer gold). None of the colors scream “Bold!” but they’re just the thing for a natural, easy to wear, quick to apply, pretty face. For $20.00 you will want this one in your weekend tote starting now!
There are so many great things MARK has to offer. Visit the MARK Web Site and you’ll be amazed!
