One Rincon Hill “a piece of the sky” is the tallest building on the skyline in San Francisco. It offers stunning views in one of the world’s favorite cities and is distinguished by world-acclaimed architecture, a sophisticated urban lifestyle and resort-style amenities.
With its extensive, landscaped park level with full-size heated swimming pool, whirlpool spa, gourmet barbecue area, Infiniti pool and full-service valet parking: One Rincon Hill defines High Rise living.
Most High Rises offer community living where residents get to socialize and meet one another via organized book, cooking, film and design clubs.
On October 2010, SophiSticate Interiors was privileged to create the Design Club at One Rincon Hill and lead designer Sophie Azouaou was asked to give a series of lectures on High Rise Interior Design, a service and concept her firm created.
Just recently Sophie Azouaou gave a seminar on the 2012 High Rise Design Trends. Attendees were comprised of residents, trade professionals, press, and San Francisco’s VIPs.
Guests enjoyed themselves and were treated to samples courtesy of in-kind sponsors Earth Friendly Products, Living Tree Community Foods and Vital Choice Seafood and Organics.
These are at a glance the 2012 trends:
- Minimalism is in, since small space planning is key in urban living
- Low seating furniture
- Natural wood and compact furniture with specific condominium sizes
- Soft roller shades that do not obstruct the view and allow privacy at the same time
- Use of Low VOC paint: (Volatile Organic Compounds), to reduce toxic fume exposure
- Elegant neutral and soothing colors are favorites
- Novelty wall decor
- Purifying plants as part of décor to counteract the polluted air and bring the outdoors in
The evening ended with a drawing of amazing raffle prizes courtesy of Earth Friendly Products, Living Tree Community Foods, Ochi and Company, Palecek, Shear Miracles by Robyn, Sophisticate Interiors and Vital Choice Seafood and Organics.
The seminar was well received. Attendees learned that they did not need to sacrifice comfort when dealing with small planning. The highlight of the seminar was a private tour of a newly designed residence by Sophisticate Interiors, to show guests firsthand the meaning of the High Rise design concept and its impact.
