ABC News announced coverage of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, in an April 11, 2011 press release. As the couple walk down the aisle on Friday, April 29, 2011, newscasters Diaen Sawyer, Barbara Walters and Robin Roberts will be covering the majestic spectacle. The newscast about the fairy-tale wedding in England will reach more viewers than ever before, with content being delivered via live coverage on ABC, online and social media.

London gears up for Royal Wedding – pictures
Diane Sawyer and Barbara Walters will be in London to anchor special live coverage from Buckingham Palace from 4:00 a.m. to 10 a.m., ET. GMA co-anchor Robin Roberts will follow with a live West Coast edition of “Good Morning America” live from Westminster Abbey.
Joining the anchors will be a team of ABC News anchors and correspondents to provide full coverage of the wedding and the excitement surrounding the event. “ABC World News” weekend anchor David Muir, will bring American viewers into the broadcast by capturing real time reactions to the wedding on Twitter and Facebook.
The ABC news team also includes: “20/20” co-anchor Chris Cuomo; “Nightline” co-anchor Cynthia McFadden; “GMA Weekend” co-anchor Bianna Golodryga; ABC News London-based correspondent Nick Watt; and ABC News Special Royal Correspondent Katie Nicholl, columnist for The Daily Mail and author of The Making of a Royal Romance: William, Kate and Harry – A Look Behind the Palace Walls, the definitive biography of Prince William and Prince Harry.
Royal insiders will contribute to the ABC coverage of the royal wedding, to give viewers the perspective garnered from their connections and experiences. Contributors include: Tina Brown, author of The Diana Chronicles and Editor-in-Chief of Newsweek and The Daily Beast; Royal insider Colleen Harris, who served as Press Secretary to Princes Charles, William and Harry from 1998 to 2003; one of Princess Diana’s Bridesmaids, India Hicks (Untold Stories of a Royal Bridesmaid with India Hicks on TLC); Royal historian Robert Lacey; and Royal editor for the Sun Newspaper Duncan Larcombe.
